Welcome to myEventOrder.com! This website is intended for browsing images and purchasing photographic prints from an event you may have attended. The following information is very helpful in creating a wonderful experience while viewing the event. At any time, you may contact us via the "contact webmaster" located at the top right of the page, or contact the studio with one of the black navigation buttons, should a question or problem occur.
All orders submitted carries an automatic agreement to terms outlined below.
Email Log-In Requirement
Your email is used as a way to retain items to your shopping cart and log-in information. Any and all items, added to your cart, will be automatically saved. At any point, prior to the event's off line date, returning to the event will recall your cart, just as it was left. Items placed in the cart will be saved until you delete an item (or items), place an order, or will be completely deleted when the event is no longer available online. We understand the importance of privacy and that your email will not be used by any third party, nor will you be contacted about anything unrelated to this site and/or your specific event. This site will time out if there is an inactivity period of six hours. If this occurs, you cart will be retained automatically (as described above).
Recommended Internet Browsers
We only recommend Microsoft Internet Explorer, (version 7 or later), Mozilla Firefox (all current versions) and Safari (version 2 or later). These browsers count for 99% of all Internet browsing on this site. Due to this site's image and graphic intensity, other browsers (including beta versions of the recommended) may not display, be compatible or work properly, causing a frustrating experience. If you encounter problems while using the recommended browsers, please contact us via "contact webmaster", and let us know. Known issues have been found with using the following: Microsoft Internet Explorer (version 6 and prior), Netscape and AOL's internal browser.
How to order and Maneuver the Website
Log-In Required: As of July 1st, 2009, if you were given information that required entering a username and password to gain access to the event, please ignore the username supplied, and instead, type in your email address in the first box, and then type in the password given (make sure you type in the exact password, which is "case sensitive"), and hit enter. If what you entered was incorrect information for the event, you will be notified by "bad log-in, please try again" at the top of the log-in box. If you are unsure, do not know the proper password or simply cannot log in, please contact the studio directly (their information is listed at the top of the log-in page).
No Log-In Required: One you enter your email address, you will see the black navigation buttons at the top of the page (i.e. "home", "view photos", "create card", etc), this means that there is no password required. You can simply start browsing the event.
Magnify/Zoom Tool
Clicking on the "view photos" button will bring up a listing of page numbers and thumbnails for you to navigate through the event (actual color of the images may vary depending on your computer monitor and settings). Most event dates July 1st, 2009 and later, will have the option to "magnify" images with a one click zoom tool, located in the upper right hand corner of the large center image box. Once magnified, place your cursor inside the zoomed area and click/hold to move the image around as you wish. Please note that the quality of the magnified image is for viewing purposes only, and does not represent final print quality. The "tones" of B&W/Sepia viewing option will only preview in the non-magnified view.
Other Features
Once you locate an image to be purchased, add the quantity in the box next to the size of print desired, and click on "add to cart" at the bottom of the print sizes box. If desired, you must order a tone change in the product box or during the review of your cart. Use the other black navigation buttons at the top at any time to view a "slideshow", order Greeting/Holiday "cards", "view cart", etc.
Feel free to "email a friend" to let them know the images from the event are available for viewing and ordering. Be sure to fill out recipient(s) email address correctly. You will not receive a notice if an email address was incorrect and undeliverable. If the event required a log-in, the email will automatically include that information. You may also contact the Photography Studio, via email.
When you have finished adding prints to the cart, hit the "view cart" button and double check to make sure that you have ordered correctly, including the size and tone. If necessary, change what you wish and hit the "update" button to the right. If you would like to view or crop the ordered image, hit the "crop" button to the right of the line order. Hit apply if you have cropped, cancel if you were viewing the image only.
Print Size Names and the Crop Tool
The 2-up and 4-up wallet is 2.5"x3.5" for each wallet, printed on the same sheet. The 8-up wallet product is 8 die cut 2.25"x3.25" with rounded corners. The 3x5 size is 3.5"x5" actual. All other sizes available for purchase are the same size as listed. When using the crop tool during checkout, please give at least an additional 5-10% extra space for "clipping" or spill. This will allow a slight amount of room for mechanical variation and not cut into important areas of the image, like someone's head. Please be aware that recommended cropping range is up to 15%. Excessive cropping outside that range may result in reduced quality of your final print.
Checking Out, the Shopping Cart and Customer Info
Once you have filled your cart and cropped your images to your liking, hit "checkout" to review the order. (Illinois State Sales Tax is displayed, but will be deducted from your receipt if your billing address is outside of Illinois.) If your order is correct, hit the "purchase" button.
Please fill out all applicable billing and shipping information, and credit card data very carefully. Review and double check your customer and credit card information prior to clicking on the "Send Order" button. Please note that your billing address must match the credit cards billing address (including the street address and zip code) or you will be declined due to our verification process. Do not add spaces or dashes when inputting credit card information. Card number, CVV2 and your expiration date must all match the card. If any of your information was incomplete or incorrect, you will be required to fix the area, prior to a successful purchase. {Please note that a separate credit card authorization will occur each time you hit the "Send Order" button, regardless of issue, so take your time and make sure you input all of your information correctly the first time. If there have been multiple attempts to send in an order, only the last successful credit card authorization will be charged. All previous authorizations (or pending charges as some banks call it) from prior attempts will disappear once your card's issuing bank releases the authorization(s), typically between 5 and 10 business days.}
PAYMENT INFORMATION: We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover and American Express (depending upon the hosting studio). Note: all Prepaid and Gift Cards are not accepted, due to our card verification system requiring billing addresses. Don't even make an attempt to use them. Prepaid/gift cards do not carry a billing address, therefore any attempt to use this type of card to pay for your order will (1) be declined, and (2) attempted amounts of funds being authorized will be frozen on the card, even if it gets declined. Releasing funds back to the card is done by the card's issuing bank only, taking up to 4 weeks to process. We have no control of funds.
Once you click "send order" a small confirmation window will appear with the amount that will be authorized and charged to your credit card. Once your order has been successfully placed, a receipt is immediately generated (do not hit your browser's back history button, use the link to return to the event). An email confirmation is sent within one minute. You can expect delivery of your custom order within two weeks.
Online Order Shipping Policy
Cost for shipping is a flat rate of $5.99. Orders are typically processed and completed within five (5) working days and shipped out as soon as the order has been completed. Individual orders from the same or different events cannot be placed in the same package/shipment. Orders are shipped via a Private Delivery Service (i.e. UPS) or the US Postal Service. All residential addresses do not require a signature and will be left at your door or other convenient location. Commercial addresses will require a signature (not with US Post). If there are special delivery circumstances or known delivery issues in which the carrier cannot leave or get to your address, please note that in the "special instructions" while filling out your shopping cart. Improper or missing delivery information will cause delays and are subject to additional charges.
PO Boxes cannot be delivered by our Private Carrier and is not recommended. If you used a PO Box for the shipping address, we will automatically ship your order via US Postal Service. There are some instances that we will not be able to ship via US Postal Service. If that is the case, we may contact you for a actual shipping address (home or business), if you used a PO box.
Damaged or Incorrect Shipment Information
If you receive your shipment damaged in any way-DO NOT THROW OUT THE SHIPPING BOX OR ANY CONTENTS! Proof of damage is required to start a claim. If visible damage is present, note the extent with the delivery person if possible. If unable to note damage, or hidden damage is found, contact the Studio immediately (include the order number, event ID and the date ordered). After damage has been reported, the Delivery Company will want to inspect the packaging and contents during the insurance claim procedures. You will be contacted once the claim is in motion and replacement prints are on the way. You have ten (30) days from the delivery date to submit a claim if the order was received damaged or incorrect.
Illinois State Sales Tax
Prior to collecting customer addresses and payment information, this site generates a "review" page displaying order totals including Illinois State Sales Tax. This 7.25% tax is only applicable to orders reflecting customer billing addresses that originate in Illinois. Customers with a billing address outside of Illinois will not be charged state sales tax. This will be reflected on your final receipt, after the order has been submitted and authorized.
Return Policy
All orders placed are considered custom per your specifications. Once you submit your order, all sales are final and may not be changed or returned for a refund. However, there is a ten (10) day period from the delivery date to notify the Studio directly, if the order is incorrect or damaged by the delivery service.
